KRAIN would like make our clients aware that we have a company policy in place that protects our sellers, buyers, and the public from certain persons or companies dealing in real estate in Costa Rica who have been found guilty of multiple ethical violations.
Because there is no licensing law in Costa Rica, we must self-govern as a Realtor Association Body and lead by example as individuals. The Costa Rica Global Association of Realtors ("CRGAR") and all of its members have a duty to protect the public and follow the code of ethics set by the National Association of Realtors. KRAIN is a proud member of CRGAR. In addition, KRAIN only hires agents that are or have been licensed in the U.S. or Canada. Our company shall continue to lead the way in professionalism and ethical conduct.
Effective February 1st, 2020, KRAIN has implemented a company policy that we will not work with any persons or companies that have been found guilty through the Ethics Tribunal Panel of CRGAR of multiple ethics violations or ethics violations causing serious damage. We have implemented this policy as a necessity. Realtors have a duty to protect the public.
CRGAR has created a section on their website where the public can go to see who has been sanctioned. Link: http://crgar.com/professional-enforcement-cases/
